I’ve encountered these kinds of people before Mr. Trump — and from the political left. There was not much sense in having any discourse. It just seems to be more of them and they are seemingly united. I wonder if the psychologists have or are trying to figure this out.

In my attempts to promote my alternative theory of governance circa 2005, I would get comments like “I disagree with you, but I defend your right to say that.” I’m not hearing that kind of statement much these days.
