I've lived through several minimum wage increaes in Alberta. The last one went through about 2017, moving from $12 to $15. The business community made the same predictions as this article. But none of that happened.

My hypothesis is that when low-wage workers get a "raise", they tend to spend in the local community. Which helps other low wage workers keep their jobs.
