I've used Google and Facebook advertising to promote my alternative democracy over the years. But in the spring of 2020, I could no longer advertise on these forums because the same kind of ads I had used previously were now deemed "too political."

There is a lot of pressure towards social media outlets to somehow reign in the extremists. But in doing so, many reasonable thinkers end up being cast in the same net. There really is no algorithm that will be able to find that magical balance that some commentators believe is out there. It's also impractical and arbitrary to set up a human judge to decide what is acceptable or not. So it seems free speech is the better approach, regardless of the pressure.

While I haven't agreed with your COVID stand, you have presented it civil enough as to generate reasonable discussion on this matter. I would say that you are more civilly responsible than more than a few political commentators on Medium who blame each American COVID death on Mr. Trump. They are not being threatened with expulsion.
