My wife and I recently watched a somewhat poorly produced documentary done by what looks like a mainstream Christian group. That group was trying to tell the world of the con game of the televangelists.

The documentary went from televangelist to televangelist. The pattern was the same. Set up stage show to convince people to part with their money--and go live a lavish lifestyle. Thousands an thousands of people are bilked, Over and over again. Rich and poor, white and black, well educated and not. Professional and working class.

If so many Americans can be happily conned by televangelists, there should there be no wonder the Trump base is such a political force.

There is little convincing the Trump base that they are being conned.
