JFK was a compelling movie. It seems to lead to something important, but could not close the case.
Shortly after I saw the movie, I saw some news clips of Jim Garrison promoting his conspiracies. To me, he seemed like an unbalanced individual, throwing straws into the wind hoping for something to stick. It's not hard to understand why the authorities were stalling this guy.
Why the media would give Mr. Garrison the attention was a mystery to me, but my hypothesis he was good for advertising sales.
The movie portrayed a soundly minded individual. But the real news clips of the fellow suggested that there was too much "Hollywood" in the movie.
Even though I believe there is something funny about the assassination, I took the movie less seriously after I saw the Garrison in real life.
