Just a few points, John

There is indeed a flow of energy in politics. But too often, one or two things suck up most of that energy, leaving the other 99 things not addressed very well.

The TDG is a representative democracy. I just cannot see any other way. If we individuals were to get knowledgeable about most issues, there would not be many to do the work of society. But the TDG should be a much more trustworthy government. So much of the citizen energy can be used elsewhere than holding our current system "accountable."

You might be interested in my article called the Orwell Ratio. The large middle class after WW2 is an aberration of history. We are just going back to our natural social order.
