I like your list of Republicans. There are indeed different demographics under this umbrella.

My take is that they sense (maybe "sensed") that a coup is/was on the way. Their collective demographics would be making all the rules---and they were OK with that. I'm more worried about Trump 2.0.

But the USA needs to build a new system. This 18th century democracy is not work so well.
