About a year ago, I wrote an article about why the ultra-conservatives in Alberta need to compromise politically--if they want to implement some of their agenda. They didn't listen to me. Today, I am preparing an article about how the ultra-conservatives are now in the driver's seat of Alberta's politics. Just think: 15% of Albertans are now setting the agenda!

In 1974, enough of the American 30% were dropping out of politics such that Nixon had to resign. The crimes of Nixon pale when compared to Trump. The 30% is using teh bigger crimes to justify moving forward.

The 30% will put up with whatever flaws Desantis may have. According to a few Medium contributors, Desantis has been setting up his version of SA troops, something Trump did not do (yet). There would be more than enough volunteers for this kind of work.

The 30% may have been around for a long time. But they have recently learned how to become a political force.

Whatever happens in the next few years, the USA (and the rest of the world) needs to start working on a new way. We are dancing the tango on the edge of a cliff.
