Could any of us describe "western democracy" in three sentences?

No, today's democracies are actually very complex systems, with various parts being connected to other parts, like free press and speech, courts and judges, separation of powers, etc. etc. etc. . With all these parts working together, we have a little societal magic that is actually hard to explain. This magic truly gives more citizens more opportunity than most of the world's people have ever had. People can better their lives and the lives of their progeny.

When I read this essay, the TDG almost sounds like a fairy tale to me. Parts of the TDG have been left out for the sake of brevity. Other parts were not explained very well. So some of the 60 comments to this essay have quickly deemed the TDG as an unattainable utopia. If anything, my essay has turned people away.

If I try to reduce the TDG further, it will sound more like a fairy tale.

And in my marketing, I have reduced the TDG to several jingles. One of my better jingles is:

"A Kinder, Wiser Democracy"

That jingle and the other jingles have not helped.

Is there a sweet spot between the jingles and 15-essay? Like a three-sentence promo?

I could probably come up with 15 three-sentence promos in a couple of hours. Each one will have vast chasms of the TDG left out, thus being vulnerable to an easy attack. Even if some promos will be better than others, the chances I will present you with the promo that tickles your curiosity is small. And all the promos all sound like hucksters hawking cheap products to me. The TDG is actually quite complex.

You seemed to like my "mental health" essay. Maybe that should be your criterion to move forward with your investigation.
