Life in any political party works like this.

Imagine a mountaintop that has three ridges leading up to the summit. The leader is at the summit. Everyone wants to get close to the summit as possible. So they are lined up on the ridges.

But for a first person to go forward to the summit, there's another person in the way. That second person is not likely to give up that position too easily. So the first person must wait. Maybe there will be a time for the first to push the second off the ridge.

Maybe the two can make an alliance to push forward together. Two against one on a mountain ridge; I'll place my bet on the two.

But to get a better spot on this mountain ridge, someone in front must go down.

And eventually the leader will go down. That's when the real fun starts.

It's good to hear the New Republican Party is finally experiencing these internal forces. A good round of infighting will be more beneficial to the USA than anything the other side can concoct.

But, really, shouldn't we thinking about a better way to govern ourselves?
