Loggers in Canada are paid pretty well. The loggers I knew were not living a $42,000 year lifestyle.

Maybe this figure is based on seasonal work, maybe 3-4 months a year. In which case, it would mean $100,000+ on a per annum basis.

For sure, logging is a dangerous job. It has been at the top of deaths and injuries for my 45 years of working.
