Maybe I need this help!

Before I was married, life was pretty simple. No need for "to-do" lists. But marriage and kids changed for me. I started putting together "to-do" lists. But as I looked at them, I started getting depressed.

I kind of learned to let things pop into my head as free time and energy become available. Something would say "Do this" and that's what I did.

This means some things are left undone for a long time. But they can't be all that important if they do not pop into my head (when free time and energy become available).

Much less depression.

Unfortunately, writing seems to be taking a little too high priority over household duties--according to my wife. But focusing on household duties might mean never doing any writing.
