Maybe what is happening in Alberta might shed a light.

The conservative party has been running the show for 50 years. About 10 years ago, the radical conservatives have taken control of the moderate conservatives.

Two weeks ago, our premier was put in a difficult position. She was asked about the chemtrails put out by jetliners as they travel across the skies.

Had she called chemtrails as a whacky conspiracy theory, she would have been subject to an internal party review and eventually fired. Instead she said:

"If anyone is doing this, it would be the US Department of Defence"

followed by:

"I don't have the power get the US Department of Defence to stop"

These comments kept the radical conservatives happy. She did not look too foolish. Well played. She gets to keep her job.

The political right in the USA has learned how to play politics.

We need a new way.
