Medium is a good example of the futilities of conservatism.

Medium is perhaps my tenth forum where I've tried to promote my book. The first thing I noticed was that the intellect and quality of writing is higher here than those other forums.

But there's very few conservatives on Medium. One reason is that today's conservatives really can't make logical points to defend their positions. Maybe 50 years ago, what they said made sense. But I think the world has moved on and seen that conservatism really doesn't work.

I have tried to understand Modern Monetary Theory. I just seem to grasp a few basics, then things start slipping. Anyways, according to my classical understanding of economics, western nations should have declared bankruptcy 30 years ago. There is something about MMT that defies this "natural result." I guess it's more of a case of how we spend that MMT dividend: on people, military, or rich people's bank accounts.

Conservatives have absolutely no clue on MMT. And they don't want a clue--because MMT goes against their belief system. Maybe better said, MMT is not conservative economics in any way.

We should have stuck with Keynes. Now that make sense.
