Medium is about my 10th internet forum I've participated in. I would say that it has the best writers of the 10, by far. I could say that was in the top 10% of writers those forums, but here I'm in the third quartile.

It is a mystery why some Medium writers are popular. But there are a few writers who have the talent and skills to be popular.

I put a couple of years into freelance technical writing. For some strange reason, I really like writing instructions. But my employers couldn't understand why it took more than 10 minutes to write a page of quality. I eventually quit this profession to make a living. Maybe I am too slow.

But I can't say I got screwed by someone taking my work.

I've enjoyed being a reader here. But it is time to move on. I'm almost ready to break the addiction (I think).
