Methinks "a snub" is not the right reason for the one minute. There are people in the backrooms figuring out how to get votes. Giving Mr. Kasich four minutes is going to get a lot more votes.

Ms. Martinchek does not seem to understand the pragmatics of politics. If she wants a system that is more pure in its thinking, then she should stop believing she can force it into western democracy, especially the American version. Ms. Martinchek should read Tiered Democratic Governance instead.

BTW, I suspect that AOC understood her role at the convention and her political future quite well. She got good value for that one minute. The party brass could've given it to someone else if they really wanted to snub someone.
