Might as well start this random selection process with all the state and federal legislators.
I'm reading a contemporary political science book right now. While the author doesn't go where I think she should go, she defines an interesting term:
"democraticity"
This means how the legislators reflect the demographics of the people. In her opinion, she believes that such legisaltors will have more legitimacy to pass laws because THEY look like US.
She also talks about a "lottocratic" selection process. She says that most citizens should have a term to handle to some serious legislative deliberations and decisions once in their lives.
She still leaves the political parties. I'll need to finish the book to see how the parties work with her "open democracy."

Canadian social insurance numbers are just nine numbers. That bingo cage need not be that big. Just roll nine numbers and give a week for the victor to pick up his/her prize. Or there could already be a big computer to tell us the winner.
Things could be worse.
