More than a few times on Medium, I have encountered this question of democracy vs. oligarchy. Rather than having one or the other, I believe this that this determination is on a greyscale:

We are living in a democracy with a lot of feudalism still attached. The USA will be moving closer to the oligarchy side of paradigm in the next four years. How much closer is only a guess.

And yes, Mr. Steel's comments hold true. The D's are working mostly for the elite.

It's time for a new way.
