As you know, I am looking at this issue from another angle.
The BIG problem is that 40% of Americans love Mr. Trump. And even with his mishandling of Covid-19, his polls are going up. So strange!
If Mr. Biden gets to be the next president, he is going to have one muck of a fess to clean up. Whatever he tries to do, he will be hated by 40% of Americans. And that 40% will do whatever it takes to ensure that he gets nothing done. Like it or not, that 40% is an immense political force to deal with.
Mr. Trump will be chipping at sidelines: “See if I were president, that bad thing would not have happened”. The T base stays intact even though Mr. Trump is no longer president.
And, of course, there will also be the internal D infighting to help the Trump base. Sorry, I think Mr. Biden is too old handle all these political forces.
So let’s give Mr. Trump four more years. In that way, enough of his base will come to their senses to stay away from polls on 2024 and Mr. Trump’s successor won’t be elected. The political dynasty ends. America can start fresh. Right?
