My book uses a cultural feature of a African tribe in Sierra Leona. It's about community vs. individual decisions.
Switzerland is more advanced than other democracies, but it still uses political parties to a large degree. We need to learn how to move the community-type decision making into the provincial and national levels.
In the article below, I make the point that Toronto has 3,000,000 people and is not governed with political parties. Things seem to work OK. Toronto is bigger than five Canadian provinces.

Thanks for spreading the word. So far, I'm seeing any additional traffic. But as the original article suggests, reforming government is not a popular opinion. But complaining and bitching is.
