My “ideology” has these four principles:

1. There are societal situations where society should let individuals make their own choice and live with the consequences.
2. There are societal situations where society need to takes collective action to better society.
3. The decision to take the first or second route shall be determined by a democratic process.
4. Once the decision is made, society needs to monitor that decision and be ready to make changes.

In essence, there is no longer is any placement of the socialism vs. capitalism paradigm. Both have their pros and cons. We will likely be somehow in middle (as we are today), trying different things out to see how they work.
