My take on the social/political force is that MAGA has found a leader that can unite this demographic and give it more social/political power than it has now. For this uplift in societal position, MAGA members are willing to overlook the obvious flaws of their leader. In other words, they are not as "stupid" as other Medium contributors like to call them.
