My theory (not a hypothesis) is that we--the people--have been inculcated to participate in democracies in certain ways: voting, protesting, writing internet articles, working for political parties. We believe that these ways will eventually work.

But as time has passed, these ways are increasingly coming up short.

Anyone interested in building a new democracy?
