My ulterior motive on Medium is to promote a new system of alternative governance.

A couple of months ago, I got into an interesting discussion about sexual harassment with women who would seem to fit the metoo movement. My point was that women can do things to reduce their chances of rape. My example was frat parties, where young men try to ply alcohol into young women with the intentions of loosening their judgement enough to “take them upstairs.” When that occurs, it’s hard to determine if consent was freely given, with alcohol being a significant player in these situations. My advice: young women just shouldn’t go to frat parties.

Rather than discuss the merits of this advice, I was branded with being a misogynist, not much better than the frat boy rapist.

So just think, my alternative system of governance can be cancelled by this Medium discussion.

To save my mission, maybe I should not have ever gotten into this debate or brought it up here. But it seems unlikely we are going to find effective solutions to these social issues if perspectives like mine are put to the sidelines.
