I’m just about finished my re-read of Isaac Asimov’s Foundation Series. Mr. Asimov prophesizes that democracy has a shelf life of two to three centuries before it turns on itself and reverts to some version of oligarchy. Maybe we are indeed at that turning point.

I also recommend a documentary called Hypernormalization2016, which shows the trend towards more misinformation and manipulation of truth.

It’s too bad humanity is not interested in a new kind of democracy, one that does not rely obvious less that than undemocratic tactics to sustain itself.
