Nice article. i would just add that we still have a lot to learn about the math of this disease. And the better the data, the better we will understand it.

I too have some concerns about the testing. Before I get started on my rant, I live in a town of 15,000 people. Covid-19 went through it big time: 1100 were diagnosed. But only two died. The three nursing homes have handled the disease very professionally. I experienced some flu-like symptoms, but I tested negative.

Here's my rant.

How can we verify that whatever testing procedures are being used are reliable? After all, this is a new disease. Can manufacturing processes actually create the testing kits such that they are at least 95% accurate--in such a short time? In other words, how did we test the testing kits?

What about the people who got the illness but showed no symptoms? Covid-19 passed through them almost as breath of fresh air, and there's few tests to figure out that angle of this disease.

Anyways, we have a lot more to learn about this disease. Hopefully, we will be better prepared next time.

PS: Canada, like the USA, was caught off guard. We may have shut things down a little earlier, but our numbers are not that much better. There were no warehouses of medical supplies to be handed out in case of a pandemic.
