Nice article. Many Trump supporters are probably reasonably decent people. There are good reasons for having the political stand they currently postulate.

I always wondered that if we were to extrapolate our current political divisions, the eventual result would be for one side to fully take over and cast the other side to the sidelines. In other words, a one-party state.

Unfortunately, the current structures of governance (which include the political parties and the media) feed on this divide. Until we change the structures, expect the divide to get bigger.
