Nice stories, but my concern is that if management has to deal with all concerns of all subordinates, not much else will get done. And regardless of how well meaning the manager may be, he or she just may not address the issues to the satisfaction of the subordinates.

To me, these kinds of things are a judgement call. The better managers will make the better calls — most of the time.
