Nice words and platitudes. But how we get from HERE to THERE?

Hoping and wishing and reading more Umair articles? How about a couple more Saturdays a year protesting to ensure those overly ambitions people who aspire for public office get our message? How has all of this worked so far?

No, Umair readers, if we really want these kinds of changes we will need to roll up our sleeves, get to work, and engage with people outside our echo chamber. We need to learn and practice new ways.

Our systems of democratic governance are failing. They matured around 1800. They are increasingly unable to serve our modern society.

Umair said: " One of the things I’m struck by as I look at the world these days is just how badly we need to fix it. "

Could we not start by fixing our system of governance?
