No coup. January 6 was an attempt to induce a constitutional crisis to cause confusion as where the legal leadership was. This may have induced a coup later. But I'm not sure whether the planners could think this far ahead.

Since then, I think there have been meetings between back room operators of both political parties and senior military leadership. Powerful people are figuring each other out. It is in those meetings where the near history of the USA will be written.

But we are not invited. And we won't be told much about those meetings.

The committee's work might affect the 2022 and 2024 elections more towards an anti-Replican vote. But I wouldn't count on that.
