On my bucket list is to really understand how MMT works. I'm not there yet. It still sounds like some wizardry to me. The only thing that makes it believable is that governments should have been bankrupt decades ago, but most governments stay viable.

Much of the public will never be able to understand MMT. So too politicians. They are more electable if they don't talk about this complicated economics, pretending that MMT does not exist.

Another reason to change systems.
