One of fascinating trends of WW2 was how military arsenal quickly became obsolete. War necessitated so much technological change in a short time. We are seeing the same here.

This shows what humanity can really accomplish when it puts its mind to things. We just need to find more "rightful" things.

In 1991, Ukraine got a brand new constitution, developed by the best political scientists of that time. Unfortunately, that constitution did not bring the level of democracy seen in western and former east-block countries. Ukraine was a kleptocracy, with its parliament subservient to the oligarchic class.

When the dust settles, the political scientists will return to Kiev. I'm not sure they will improve on the 1991 model. They are stuck in the past.
