One of the foundation stones of a modern democracy is the right to peacefully protest. The various protests that happened shortly after Trump’s inauguration were effective to give warning that “you can push us only so far”.

The 50% of the American voters who usually do not vote are the biggest demographic block in USA. The tide could have turned greatly in 2018 had the D’s been able to convince 10% of these voters to come their way; the Senate could have flipped despite the lack of R states to be considered seriously contestable. But the D’s failed to do this, so they must take responsibility. We shall see if lessons have been learned for 2020.

The elections are already becoming a sham. The real election are the party primaries. Most of the seats are already decided after the primary.

It’s time for America to change its ways.
