One thing "bootstrap philosophers" fail to realize is that there is a certain fortitude required to find and hold a basic job for 40 hours a week. Some people just don't have that fortitude.

Especially if one is living on the streets.

Canadian social agencies have realized that some people can hold things together for 20 hours a week. They are no longer penalized for holding on to a part-time job.

A UBI is the answer to fix a significant part of this social issue.
