Orwell’s “1984” and “Animal Farm” were indeed great warnings for the democracies of his time. He could be forgiven for not providing a solution at that time.

Since Orwell, many more authors and filmakers have created works of dystopic futures. Medium even has one popular author by the name of Umair Haque. “Here’s what our society could look like a few decades from now”, is their story’s theme. But where are so solutions to stop us from going in this direction? Hint: they have none. And neither do you.

I have a solution. But I suspect you won’t like it. It will require to get to work to preserve your freedom. Re-reading Orwell or watching Hunger Games or posting more articles on Medium will not reverse the trend.
