Other than internet wanderings, I really haven't come across any worker co-operatives in my real life . . . . well maybe Hutterite farming colonies in western Canada.

And in my internet wanderings, it seems the articles are too sugar-coated to be credible. Almost as if these businesses never have any problems.

I belong to two co-ops; bank & gas station. However their focus is on the customer/owners, not the workers. In their recent corporate moves, I think they are setting things up to be sold to a corporation some day. That's what happened to two other co-ops I used to belong to.
