Other than Ms. Fagan doesn't like Mr. Trump, I'm not sure where she stands. And as you have pointed out "socialist, whatever that means." That could include me because I believe in things like speed limits and food regulations.
For 23 years, I've been promoting an alternative system of governance. This system would not put someone like Mr. Trump in the position of "viable contender."
If anything, Ms. Fagan suffers from one of two conditions. Either she believes the USA and rest of the world is reverting back to times of oligarchy and there is nothing we can do about it OR this 250-year-old piece of social engineering called western democracy can be made to work in these modern times.
Isn't it strange that some people recognize the system is broken and unrepairable, yet cannot investigate alternatives?
