Part of joining a political party and advancing in that party is a sacrifice of principles. While there is different degrees of sacrifice, some sacrifice is required for advancement to happen.

If anyone, including you and I, were to decide to make the world a better place by entering politics, we would be altered in our psyche--and not in a good way.
