Part of the reason for the Russian/Ukraine was the IMF loans for both countries after the 1991 dissolution. Organized crime was a little quicker than western business interests to get their hands on this money.

History says the IMF will be running Ukraine after the war. Our political leaders cannot control this rogue bureaucracy.

That is "seeing things as they are."
