Personally, I think this is more of a knee-jerk reaction to seen to be doing something about the environment. Of course, diverting some gas away from stoves to shivering Europeans for export cash has a bearing on this social program. Probably more important than the environment.

The new induction stoves seem to be step up in technology. But I don't think the Bidenites have a plan rip out all the gas stoves in the next few months, like the gaslighters on the political right are trying to claim. Gas stoves will be around for a few more decades.
