Political campaigns are more or more about the soft support:

1. Encourage the soft support of the favored party to vote.
2. Discourage the soft support of the opposition party to vote.

If Mr. Biden wins the D nomination, Mr. Trump will turn the entire campaign to Hunter Biden and cushy job his dad got him. It won’t win Mr. Trump any more votes, but as he hammers away at Hunter Biden, soft support for the D’s will dwindle.

Sorry, not every voter is as engaged with Election 2020 as the average political junkie.

I’m amazed at how so many Medium political writers do not understand soft support.
