Back in my drinking days, I was having a conversation with a Korea war vet in a Houston bar. He telling me the story of being a machine gunner in a helicopter gunship. In one battle, the gunships surprised a small army of Chinese soldiers. He was quite animated about he and other gunners mowed them down. Hundreds! No feeling for their mothers and families whatsoever.
