Probably not your main point, but I sure appreciated the “poor talk” common among farmers. In my part of the world (SE Alberta) harvest was delayed quite a bit this fall because of an early snowstorm and crops could not dry appropriately. After all that complaining, it’s surprising at how many farmers spent time in Hawaii or Mexico in December.
Farmers’ kids seem to be driving better vehicles than this wage earner can afford to drive.
I’m not begruding their lifestyle for there is a lot of hard work and frustration with farming, but farmers need to understand that they are not poor.
