In The Shock Docrtine, I thought there were a couple of places where I felt Klein was misrepresenting a situation in a wrong way. But she made a pretty solid case overall.
I've always felt that average citizens should not get a vote on climate change. If 99% of scientists say it is happening and we are causing it, we should believe them and take action. Scientists have been wrong before, but not often. It is just good risk management to take their advice.
My advice: Put a big tax on all fuels. Less air travel; less shipping cheap goods across oceans. I wrote about this 20 years ago:
