Rachel: It's amazing when voting habits change. In 2015, Alberta voted in its first official "socialist" government. I did not vote for it. But in 2019, I did. My reason: the party managed stay out of any serious scandal after four years in government. That says something. At least to me.
I understand your dilemma. I do not see Mr. Biden leading the USA through the mess created by Mr. Trump. And in some ways, giving Mr. Trump another four years might be the only way to deflate his base to the point where it is no longer a social/political force. But political fortune telling is always fraught with erroneous predictions.
Your political frustration suggests that you might be ready for a new of governance. For 23 years, I have been advocating for a new way of democracy: one with ZERO political parties.
Tiered Democratic Governance takes about three hours to read.
Alternatively, you can read my new novel about average Americans building this new system. It too takes about 3 hours, but it flows much better.
If the USA does not change its political structure, your grandchildren will be publishing similar articles as yours on Medium.
