Ray: One of my more profound anecdotes was a mini-documentary of the Occupy movement. The documentary spent some time in a tent with the movement's leader (local) about how they would make a better world. While these people had good intentions, they were not unified. They were talking over each other and not with each other.
When you ask young people to "take over," they need to develop their political skills first. And I say that with tongue in cheek. They should not develop political skills to find success today's political arenas. Rather they need to learn to create consultative and consensual attitudes.
Building my alternative democracy will give them these skills.
