Reminds me of an encounter with an evangelical a few years back. She said she was interested in why I didn't believe. But when I tried to explain, she just gave me the usual sell job. I kept telling her that I have heard this same message before, and it hadn't made made any sense 45 years ago and it doesn't today. She wouldn't let me explain beyond that, always bringing the sell job back into the conversation.
