So true. Today's Russians are one of many past and present examples of one ethnic group wanting to dominate ethnic group. The political leaders and their followers are feeding off each other.

There was a term that was somewhat popular a few years ago in left-wing culture, but seems to be waning today: "Tribalism." We all have a psychological need to advance ourselves at the expense of people different than us.

We really need to cast this trait aside.

We need to develop electoral structures that do not feed off this trait.
