Thanks for the link. i took a look at some of those articles. I have been actually doing these things ever since I started Medium in April 2019. For example, I have about 7100 responses under my belt, which comes to 6 responses a day. I really didn't need to be told these things on how to build an audience.

I have read just as many articles. And I have learned a few useful things from those articles.

Last fall, I had the resources to write one article a day. While it was carthartic to get some of ideas out from my head and into the world, there was no improvement in my Medium traction.

My main topic is my alternative democracy. I have used both subtle and blunt techniques--and techniques in between. Rightly or wrongly, people on internet forums do not want to hear about this idea.

I have no interest in finding another theme that will have more appeal--and then somehow springing my true ulterior motive on my enhanced audence, which I may or not be able to acquire after hours and hours and hours of work. Or maybe they just might be scared away.

So be rest assured that I have done many things right on Medium. And I have engaged with about 3000 people. That is a pretty good focus group. It is telling me to it is time to quit.
