First, I am going to go a little off topic. I was at another computer today and thought I would check Medium on that computer to see what a "virgin feed" would look like. You had two articles in this feed, with at least 100 articles posted. I'm not sure exactly what that means, but now you know. There was one more article from a writer I have been following. All the rest were unknown writers to me. BTW, none of my stuff showed up, but I'm not surprised at that.

Getting a good contractor has been a problem in my town for at least a decade. They can pick and choose which clients to work for: the petroleum companies and wealthy clients who have a good reputation for not complaining about bills are the best customers.

I'm 62 and searching for a new career. But things are harder to learn. I am finally feeling comfortable with Windows 10--and my wife's computer automatically upgraded to Windows 11. She expects me to know everything about computers. Windows 11 looks like it is from Mars. I took some bookkeeping courses this spring, but I'm not so sure about that.

Throughout my life, there has always been a shortage of excellence in the workplace. But those who can get a job done seem to be going places. Whether we are going forward or backwards in this regard, I'm not sure. But I'll take a look at Peter's article.
